Most widely known for his starring part in the KBS series Immortal Admiral Yi Sun-shin, he also appeared in a number of films, being successful 2009 Grand Bell and Blue Dragon awards for his part in Nearer to Heaven. He also became well-known for playing the physician Jang Joon Hyuk in the MBC series White colored Tower. After earning the 1996 SBS performing contest, he made an appearance in shows of such tv series as Appear Back Anger and KAIST prior to making his film debut in the 2001 horror film Sorum. To get ready for his part as conductor Kang Ma-e in the tv screen series Beethoven Computer virus, he spent four weeks studying orchestral performing techniques. His teaching paid: in 2008, his overall performance in Beethoven Computer virus gained him both MBC and Korea Theatre Awards. Given birth to and elevated in South Korea, he went to the Seoul Institute from the Arts. In 2004, he and his wife, Lee Kyung Mi, welcomed a child called Jae Ha. He was created in the same 12 months as fellow South Korean display acting professional John Cho.
