Kenny Kirkland

Amazing, spontaneous jazz musician having a famous function ethic and a famous set of both jazz and non-jazz collaborations. He toured European countries with Polish fusion violinist Michal Urbaniak in 1977 with whom he also documented Urbaniak from 1977 and Daybreak from 1980. He could be noticed on such Sting albums as The Imagine the Blue Turtles from 1985, The Spirit Cages from 1991, and Mercury Falling from 1996. His family members recognized his skills in early stages, and he 1st started toying around using the piano when he was six. He went to longtime friend and collaborator Branford Marsalis’ wedding ceremony on November 7, 1998, a couple of days before he was discovered lifeless in his Queens house.
