Biography

Probably one of the most well known Australian directors in film background. He was in charge of over 35 game titles between 1928 and 1957. He analyzed in the North Sydney Kids’ SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL prior to making his 1st film in 1928. He was presented with the exclusive Raymond Longford Honor from the Australian Film Institute in 1976. He wedded Irene Addison in 1925, who later on passed away in 1972. His existence influenced the Ken G. Hall Honor, which was granted to Rupert Murdoch in 1995.

#Fact
1 Pioneer Australian film maker, a former journalist, stage manager and movie publicist. Hall turned out modestly made, but popular motion pictures as head of Cinesound Studios during the 1930's and 40's (including the successful 'Rudd Family' series). Cinesound was later partly owned by the Rank Organisation. Hall then moved into television, working as general manager of Australia's first TV station, Channel Nine, from 1956 to 1966.
2 He was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 1972 Queen's New Years Honours List for his services to the Australian Motion Picture Industry.
