Kathryn Hunter

Known for portraying such male Shakespearean individuals as Ruler Lear and Richard III, this acclaimed stage actress also received a 1991 Olivier Award on her behalf role within an British stage production from the Friedrich Durrenmatt play The Go to. After training on the Royal Academy of Dramatic Artwork (RADA), she made an appearance within a 1986 London creation of Moliere’s The Hypochondriac. She kept high-ranking creative positions at both Royal Shakespeare Firm as well as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Artwork. She acted in the BBC’s and HBO’s Rome, playing the function of Charmian, and made an appearance as Arabella Figg in the 5th Harry Potter film. Though she was created in NY to Greek immigrants, she spent her youth in britain. Her hubby, Marcello Magni, founded an British theater company known as Complicite.
