Katharine Meyer Graham

Publisher and award-winning memoir article writer who have worked for The Washington Post for more than two decades. She actually is specifically remembered on her behalf newspaper’s part in revealing the Watergate Scandal. She started doing work for The Washington Post in 1938, soon after graduating from the College or university of Chicago. Following a loss of life of her publisher spouse, she assumed control of the Post (which got previously been possessed by her personal dad, Eugene Meyer). Her memoir, Personal Background, earned the Pulitzer Reward in 1998. She got four kids with her spouse, Phillip Graham (whom she wedded in 1940). Her girl, Lally, was created in 1943, and her three sons (Donald, William, and Graham) had been created between 1945 and 1952. She oversaw The Washington Post’s insurance coverage from the Watergate scandal. This scandal eventually led to the resignation of Chief executive Richard Nixon.
