Karen Swenson

American poet and journalist known for The Landlady in Bangkok, A FEELING of Path, East-West: Poems, and various other works. She was the 1993 receiver of A Country wide Poetry Series Prize. She researched at NY College or university and Barnard University. She released her debut poetry collection, An Attic of Ideals, in 1974. Her poetic function, A Daughter’s Latitude, recounts both international travel and metaphorical travels to childhood scenery. She was created in NEW YORK and elevated in Chappaqua, NY. She and previous NEW YORK Poet Laureate Fred Chappell had been both delivered in 1936.
