Karel Destovnik

Slovene poet, translator, and Globe Battle II-era freedom fighter. His best-known poems consist of “Slovene Kid,” “Madman,” and “Day time of all Deceased.” He released his early poems inside a children’s literary publication known as Slovenska Mladina. He was officially announced a nationwide hero of Yugoslavia in July of 1953. He was created in Sostanj, Slovenia. After becoming caught and imprisoned from the Nazi Gestapo in 1941, he became a member of resistance causes in Ljubljana. He and Ahmad Faraz became well-known for their poetry and their politics activities.
