Julia Ward Howe

Social activist who’s best known to be an abolitionist, author, and a poet. She was informed by governesses with private academic institutions. She composed ‘The Fight Hymn from the Republic’ in 1861, which became a well-known American patriotic melody. She wedded Samuel Gridley Howe in 1843. She was a proponent of women’s privileges, very much like Sarah Grimke.
