Croatian painter whose work was exhibited on the Venice Biennale in 1942. His initial unbiased exhibition was at Pola vijeka hrvatske umjetnosti on the MeÅ¡troviÄ‡ Pavilion in 1937. He examined artwork in Zagreb, graduating in 1936. He was commissioned by NY City’s Metropolitan Opera to color a family portrait of Croatian opera vocalist Milka Trnina. His family members transferred to Vienna when he was eight yrs . old. He fled Communist Yugoslavia in 1946 for Italy. Twelve months afterwards, he transferred to Argentina. He and Oton Ivekovic had been fellow Croatian painters.
