Belarusian-English architect who designed more than 1,000 homes and was remembered for the Sunlight House in Manchester. He was apprentice for an architect in Manchester in 1904 and opened up his very own practice in 1907 in St. Ann’s Square. He was uncommon among prominent architects for the reason that he just designed one spiritual building–the South Manchester Synagogue. He wedded Edith Forshaw in 1940 and got one young child. He and Austrian architect Victor Gruen had been contemporaries.
