Joseph Stella

Ideal remembered for his pictures from the Brooklyn Bridge, this early 20th-century painter created such main works as Fight of Lighting, Coney Isle; American Landscaping; and Aged Brooklyn Bridge. Early in his profession, he educated at both New York College of Artwork and the Artwork Students League. Through the 1930s, he was utilized by the Functions Progress Administration’s Government Artwork Project. Blessed Giuseppe Michele Stella, he spent his youth in Muro Lucano, Italy, and relocated to NEW YORK, U.S.A. in his early twenties. While participating in writer Gertrude Stein’s Paris salon, Stella fulfilled a lot of his creative contemporaries and became solidly entrenched within the Futurism and Precisionism actions.
