Joseph C. McConnell

Recognized American fighter pilot from the Korean War era. He received both Silver Star as well as the Recognized Service Combination for his aerial fight heroics. He became a member of the U.S. Military Air Forces when he was qualified to receive service. While functioning as a check pilot, he was wiped out within a 1954 crash over Edwards Surroundings Force Bottom. He was wedded to Pearl McConnell. He was highlighted in the film The McConnell Tale, which starred Alan Ladd.
