American poet, author, and translator whose works include Hell in Funnel and Sunrise Trumpets. He was appointed in 1937 because the 1st Poet Laureate of america; he held the positioning until 1941. He was created in Philadelphia, Pa and later resided in Florida. He released his debut poetry collection, Sunrise Trumpets, in 1924. His writings type a particular collection in the University or college of Miami. He was wedded to Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Audrey Wurdemann. The few resolved in Washington D.C.’s Cathedral Levels community. He was a literary modern of British Poet Laureate John Masefield.
