Jorie Graham

Poet who won the 1996 Pulitzer Award for The Imagine the Unified Field: Selected Poems 1974-1994. Her various other works consist of San Sepolcro, Salmon, and Spoken in the Hedgerows. She went to New York School as well as the Iowa Authors’ Workshop. She was the Chancellor from the Academy of American Poets in the past due 1990s and early 2000s. She wedded and divorced William Graham and Adam Galvin before marrying poet Peter M. Sacks in 2000. She was motivated to create poetry after hearing a reading of T.S. Eliot’s The Appreciate Melody of J. Alfred Prufrock.
