Jonathan Biss

Acclaimed pianist who became known for his recordings of functions by Beethoven, Mozart, and Schumann. He offers performed with such renowned orchestras as the brand new York Philharmonic as well as the Cleveland Orchestra. He went to both Indiana University or college as well as the Curtis Institute of Music and produced his Carnegie Hall debut in 2011. His several honors are the 2002 Gilmore Youthful Designer Award, the 1999 Avery Fisher Profession Grant, as well as the 2005 Leonard Bernstein Award. His grandmother, Raya Garbousova, was a renowned Russian cellist. His parents, Paul Biss and Miriam Fried, both experienced successful professions as violinists. He released many recordings of piano sonatas by Ludwig Vehicle Beethoven.
