Jon Jost

Director from the 1977 film Last Chants for the Slow Dance, listed in the reserve 1001 Films YOU NEED TO See Before You Pass away. He began producing movies in 1963 after getting expelled from university. He was imprisoned for over 2 yrs for refusing to cooperate using the Selective Program Program in 1965 and became involved with anti-war activities quickly thereafter. His dad served in america military services. He and Forrest Gump movie director Robert Zemeckis had been both natives of Illinois.
