John W. Bubbles

American stage and screen actor and vaudeville performer who appeared in such stage productions as the Ziegfeld Follies and Porgy and Bess and in such films as Varsity Display, A Song EXISTS, and Cabin in the Sky. He and Ford “Buck” Washington created a overall performance duo known as Buck and Bubbles. He’s regarded as the daddy of rhythm faucet dance. In 2002, he was posthumously inducted in to the International Touch Dance Hall of Popularity. He was created in Kentucky and elevated in Indiana. Michael Jackson’s family pet chimpanzee, Bubbles, was called after John W. Bubbles.
