John Philip Sousa

Biography

Referred to as the American March Ruler, he is appreciated for “The Stars and Stripes Forever.” His tune “Semper Fidelis” became america Marine Corps’ standard march. He was head from the President’s Own music group for five presidents, you start with Rutherford B. Hayes and finishing with Benjamin Harrison. He traveled European countries and Australia after offering as Marine Music group director for 12 years. He perfected the brass device the sousaphone while overseas. His dad enrolled him in to the United States Sea Band as an apprentice, where he received his formal schooling. He wedded Jane truck Middlesworth Bellis on Dec 30, 1879, plus they got three children jointly. His 1893 structure “The Liberty Bell” was utilized as the credits theme for the traditional “Monty Python’s Traveling Circus” Television show, which highlighted John Cleese.
