John Neihardt

An American Great Plains author and poet, he’s most well-known for his 1932 work, Dark Elk Talks, which targets the visions of the medicine man from the Lakota tribe. His various other works are the Divine Enchantment as well as the Song from the Indian Wars. He began composing poetry at age group twelve and released his initial narrative poem when he was nineteen. His desire for Native American lifestyle started when he transferred to Nebraska in 1901 and resided and worked close to the Omaha Booking. He wedded sculptor Mona Martinsen. Martinsen initial encountered Neihardt’s like poetry while she was surviving in Paris. She started matching with her husband to be and eventually transferred to america to become near him. His wife was a skill pupil of well-known sculptor Auguste Rodin.
