Naturalist and conservationist who explored Yosemite and is recognized as the “Dad of the Country wide Recreation area.” He was an advocate for Traditional western forests and he was a solid proponent of the Nationwide park bill, that was handed by congress in 1890 and set up Yosemite and Sequoia Nationwide Parks. He emigrated to the united states because his dad thought the Cathedral of Scotland had not been strict more than enough in its beliefs and practice. His words, essays, and books informing of his escapades in nature, specifically in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, have already been read by large numbers and greatly motivated Leader Roosevelt, who subsequently became among the initial Presidents to create conservation a nationwide issue. He wedded Louisa Wanda Strentzel in 1880, and jointly that they had two daughters. He visited Yosemite with Leader Theodore Roosevelt.
