John Louis Morkovsky

Czech American prelate from the Roman Catholic Chapel who was simply the Bishop of Galveston-Houston from 1975 to 1984. He went to St. John’s Seminary in San Antonio before going to Rome to review at the faculty from the Propaganda as well as the Pontifical Gregorian University or college. He established BLACK and Mexican American ministries and aimed resources towards huge Vietnamese community in Houston. His dad was a Moravian immigrant. He was produced the 4th Bishop of Amarillo by Pope Pius XII in 1958.
