Though he also recorded many single albums (including Glass rather than Told a Soul), this British musician is most well-known as the bassist from the Grammy-winning rock-band Dire Straits. While going to Goldsmiths College, University or college of London, he founded a record shop. In the first 2000s, he collaborated with users of the Celtic rock-band known as Cunla. He was raised in Leicester, Britain, and later resolved in Hampshire along with his four kids and his wife, Stephanie. He and guitarist David Knopfler had been both founding users of Dire Straits.
