Imagist poet and writer whose works are the Devil can be an British Gentleman along with a Son Named John. He had written a lot of his function beneath the pseudonym of John Corky. He was created in Russia to Jewish parents, and he and his family members immigrated to america in 1891. When composing for The Philadelphia Record, Cournos used the excess pseudonym of “Gorky.” He wedded fellow writer Helen Kestner. He previously an extra-marital affair with writer Dorothy L. Sayers. A fictionalized edition of the partnership shows up in Sayers’ book Solid Poison and in Cournos’ function The Devil Can be an British Gentleman.
