Joel Prentiss Bishop


American lawyer and author of legal treatises. He became renowned for his Commentaries for the Lawbreaker Regulation and Commentaries on regulations of Lawbreaker Procedure. His 1st legal treatise was Commentaries on regulations of Relationship and Divorce, that was released in 1852. Although he under no circumstances finished a formal university education, he increased to great prominence as an intellectual of his period and was granted an honorary level from the College or university of Berne in 1884. He was wedded to Mary Alice Perkins, with whom he previously three kids. He was a modern of William Lloyd Garrison and both had written for abolitionist papers in the mid-nineteenth hundred years.
