Hard bop and modal jazz designer who was simply hired by drummer Roy Haynes as an alternative for Chick Corea in Harlem’s Count number Basie’s Golf club. He researched at Virginia Condition University. He performed with such notables as Freddie Hubbard, Woody Shaw, and Billy Harper through the 1970s.
