Jocelyn Bell Burnell


Irish astrophysicist who uncovered the very first radio pulsars and was Leader from the Royal Astronomical Culture from 2002 until 2004. She visited Lurgan University and was among the first females permitted to research research there. She afterwards graduated in the School of Glasgow using a Bachelor of Research degree in Organic School of thought in 1965. She was called among the 100 most effective women in the uk by BBC Radio’s Woman’s Hour in Feb 2013. Her dad proved helpful as an architect and helped style the Armagh Planetarium. Like her, Edward Sabine was also an Irish scientist.
