Kept the WBA Globe Heavyweight Tournament from 1968 to 1970, and fought in another of the best heavyweight eras ever. He earned 59 of 66 amateur rounds and was a Golden Gloves champ. He was identified as having an instance of dementia therefore serious that he thought his useless wife was still alive. He wedded Mary Etta in 1958. One of is own most famous battles was against Muhammed Ali within the Houston Astrodome on July 26, 1971.
