Remembered as you of many missionaries wiped out during Operation Auca, an evangelical enterprise in Ecuador, he was the main topic of several documentary motion pictures, including Torchlighters: The Jim Elliot Story and Beyond Gates of Splendor. During his period at Wheaton University in Illinois, he became mixed up in Christian missionary function that would form the others of his lifestyle. He and his fellow missionaries had been wiped out by warriors owned by the Ecuadorian Huaorani cultural group. He and his wife, Elisabeth Elliot, had been the subjects of the 2003 musical movie theater piece titled Appreciate MOST IMPORTANTLY. The couple’s relationship led to a daughter called Valerie (delivered in 1955). He and fellow missionary Nate Saint had been both wiped out in Ecuador during Procedure Auca.
