Hall of Popularity MLB pitcher who recorded 224 wins before gaining popularity like a Congressman and Senator. He went to Xavier University or college and gained his bachelor’s level in economics. He threw two no-hitters during his profession, one using the Detroit Tigers another in an ideal game using the Philadelphia Phillies. He wedded Mary Catherine Theis in 1952 plus they experienced five daughters and four sons collectively. He retired from football using the second-most strikeouts ever sold behind Hall of Popularity pitcher Walter Perry Johnson.
