Croatian modernist painter whose best-known works included portraits, still-lifes, and landscapes, mostly of his indigenous Dalmatia. He belonged to the Band of Three, Band of Four, as well as the Independent Band of Performers. He studied in the Academy of Good Arts, Zagreb, with the Accademia Internazionale in Florence. He trained artwork for over sixty years and in addition worked as a skill critic. He was created around Austria-Hungary that’s present-day Croatia. He was influenced by Pierre Auguste Renoir.
