Jelena Karleusa


Serbian pop singer and columnist who became well-known after liberating her debut turbo-folk album, Ogledalce, in 1995. Her debut recording sold up to 100,000 copies across Serbia and Montenegro, creating her as a genuine pop celebrity. She continued to have many chart strikes, collaborating with Marina Tucaković most of the time. She remixed the music “Dance Pe Opportunity” from your film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and entitled it “Insomnia.” She released it on her behalf website on Dec 30, 2009 and by the very next day, it turned out downloaded 1.5 million times. She was wedded for two weeks to Bojan Karić, whose dad was Serbian businessman Sreten Karić; she after that wed Serbian soccer participant Duško Tošić in 2008. She called her daughters Athena and Nika following the Greek goddesses of battle and triumph, Athena and Nike. She utilized her newspapers column in Kurir to critique such politicians as Boris Tadic and Ivica Dačić.
