Jed Rakoff

United States Region Courtroom Judge for New York’s Southern Region known for presiding more than such high-profile instances as the Securities and Exchange Payment v. Citigroup as well as the Associated Press v. Dept. of Protection. After offering as pupil body leader at Swarthmore University in Pennsylvania, he researched at Oxford College or university and continued to earn a Juris Doctor from Harvard Rules School. He trained classes at Columbia University’s rules college and he provides published numerous content on this issue from the legal treatment of white training collar criminals. In the 2002 case USA v. Quinones, he ruled that, in the federal government level, the loss of life charges was unconstitutional. A indigenous of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he afterwards settled in NY and wedded Ann Rakoff.
