Jean Shepard

Nation singer who released seventy-three strike singles during her lengthy, storied profession. She was a bass participant in the music group Melody Ranch Women when she was an adolescent in 1948 and, after getting uncovered by Hank Thompson, she agreed upon to Capitol Information in 1952. She was inducted in to the Nation Music Hall of Popularity in 2011. She was wedded to fellow nation vocalist Hawkshaw Hawkins for 3 years before he passed away within a 1963 airplane crash with Patsy Cline and Cowboy Copas. Jointly Shepard and Hawkins got two sons, the next with whom she was pregnant during the crash. She afterwards wedded Benny Birchfield. She documented a 1953 duet with Ferlin Husky known as “A Dear John Notice” and it became the initial post-World Battle II record by a lady country musician that sold greater than a million copies.
