James Thomson

Scottish poet, dramatist, and lyricist known for his poetry collection THE TIMES OF YEAR and for the written text from the song “Guideline, Brittania! His last function, The Castle of Indolence, was released right before his early loss of life. He analyzed at the faculty of Edinburgh, where he joined up with The Grotesque Golf club. He published a 1729 play entitled The Tragedy of Sophonisba. He was among nine children created to Beatrix Trotter and Presbyterian minister Thomas Thomson. He published a poem honoring Sir Isaac Newton within the event of Newton’s 1727 loss of life.
