James Tate

American poet who earned a National Reserve Award for his 1994 collection Worshipful Firm of Fletchers. For his 1991 Selected Poems, he received both Pulitzer Prize as well as the William Carlos Williams Prize. He went to Kansas State School as well as the Iowa Authors’ Workshop. He trained creative writing on the School of Massachusetts, Amherst. He was raised in Kansas Town, Missouri. He was motivated by the task of Dylan Thomas.
