English-born Australian politician who served as the ninth Top of Victoria from 1872 to 1874. Also a businessman, he presided within the Melbourne Chamber of Business and led the lender of New South Wales. Before getting Top of Victoria, he offered as Commissioner of Trade and Traditions so that as Vice Leader of the Plank of Property and Functions. He was an associate from the colonial Australian conventional party. His relationship to Mary Ogilvie created fifteen kids. He and John Pascoe Fawkner had been both politicians from the Australian colonial period.
