James Brockman

Lyricist known for I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles and Straight down Among The Sheltering Hands, which was popular with the Boswell Sisters. He began being a comedian in vaudeville. He was posthumously inducted in to the Songwriters Hall of Popularity in 1970. He immigrated to NY by himself when he was nine or 10. His melody Down Among The Sheltering Hands was highlighted in the soundtrack for the 1959 film Some ENJOY IT Scorching, which starred Marilyn Monroe.
