Perhaps renowned for representing his native Norway within the Eurovision Song Contests of 1978, ’82, and ’83, he’s also notable for his albums Mentalkrem (1980) and En Dags Pause (1979) as well as for his hit single “Mil Etter Mil” (1978). Furthermore, he fronted a rock-band known as Popol Vuh and performed using a comedic group known as Prima Vera. Early in his profession, he released the favorite 1976 record Stolen from Period along with his Popol Vuh (renamed Popol Ace) bandmates. On the 1976 Norwegian selection competition for the Eurovision Tune Competition, he famously performed the tune “Voodoo” putting on a skeleton outfit. Delivered Jan Teigen, he spent his youngsters in Tonsberg, Norway. Before finishing in divorce, his relationship to fellow vocalist Anita Skorgan created a little girl. He and fellow Norwegian vocalist Rolf Lovland both competed within the Eurovision Tune Contest.
