Jazz alto saxophonist who’s a DownBeat Hall of Famer, decorated for his exceptional music skill and his efforts to jazz. He was trained music by his dad, his godfather, plus some of his popular neighbours like Charlie Parker. He later on played inside a music group with Sonny Rollins. He was the receiver of a 2001 American Jazz Experts fellowship through the Country wide Endowment for the Arts. He and his wife Dollie founded a business in 1970 that wanted to protect African Diaspora artwork and culture known as the Performers Collective, Inc. He helped Edward Morgan release his career.
