Movie make-up musician best remembered for transforming stars into common monsters for General Studios, perhaps especially the make-up for the 1931 film Frankenstein. General studio mind Carl Laemmle was impressed enough using the make-up job he do for The Monkey Discussions and THE PERSON Who Laughs that he employed him full-time. He changed Bela Lugosi to be the well-known vampire Dracula. Delivered in Greece, he’d expire 79 years afterwards in Hollywood, California. He used make-up towards the iconic Frankenstein performed by Boris Karloff.
