He examined on the Conservatoire of Amsterdam where he was honored the Dutch Award of Excellence 2 times, the first being a cellist and the next being a pianist. He became the conductor from the Philharmonic Orchestra of Arnhem in 1932. His dad was organist and conductor Jacobus Hendrikus Bastiaan Spaanderman Sr. He was Bart Berman’s instructor.
