J.D. Salinger

Famously reclusive American writer of Catcher in the Rye, a controversial novel that paints a compelling picture of teenage disillusionment and alienation. His additional literary works add a brief tale collection entitled Nine Tales and a novella known as Hapworth 16, 1924. He was delivered by his parents to Valley Forge Armed service Academy in Pa, where he spent his past due nights secretly composing stories. He later on lowered out of both NY College or university and Ursinus University before searching for a life-changing innovative writing program at Columbia College or university. He disliked reporters and any invasion of his personal privacy, and, not seeking further attention through the press, he ceased publishing in the first 1970s. He was wedded 3 x: to Sylvia Welter (1945-1947), Claire Douglas (1955-1967), and Colleen O’Neil (1988 until his loss of life). Along with his second wife, Claire Douglas, he previously two kids: Margaret and Matthew. Catcher in the Rye and Lois Lowry’s book The Giver possess both been frequently challenged from the American Library Association (ALA).
