Early seventeenth-century Croatian poet known for a religious work entitled Tears from the Prodigal Son as well as for an epic poem called “Osman.” He also composed a 1628 pastoral play entitled Dubravka. He was the kid of the Ragusan senator and received an excellent early education in school of thought as well as the humanities. His well-known line, “Oh gorgeous, oh valuable, oh sugary Liberty,” was recited with the musician Bono in a 1995 charity concert for Bosnian and Herzegovenan kids. He elevated two daughters and three sons along with his wife Nicoleta Sorkocevic. He, like Italian sculptor Alessandro Algardi, was from the Baroque period in artwork, books, and music.
