Ismael Laguna

Biography

Nicknamed Un Tigre Colonense, he became the Panamanian Featherweight Champ from 1962 to 1963, and was Globe Lightweight Champ in 1965 and 1970. He was created in the town of Digestive tract and grew up Orthodox. He was inducted in to the Globe Boxing Hall of Popularity in 1999 as well as the International Boxing Hall of Popularity in 2001. His grand-niece was Miss NY Panama 2013. He and New York’s Billy Backus are both associates from the International Boxing Hall of Popularity.
