An author and prominent shape from the Bengali Renaissance, he famously reformed the Bengali alphabet. His literary functions consist of Upakramanika and Shakuntala. His impoverished family members cannot afford a gas light fixture; consequently, the youthful Vidyasagar was compelled to study with the light of road lamps. His knowledge in Sanskrit research and philosophy gained him the name of “Vidyasagar” (“Sea of Understanding”). He was the boy of Thakurdas Bandyopadhyay and Bhagavati Devi. His praises had been sung with the Nobel Prize-winning article writer Rabindranath Tagore.
