American author known for such satirical and politics novels as Mumbo Jumbo, THE FINAL Days of Louisiana Reddish, and Yellow Back again Radio Broke-Down. He also released six poetry selections, ten essay selections, and several takes on, travelogues, and librettos. He went to the University or college of Buffalo. He released his first book, The Free-Lance Pallbearers, in 1967. He was a jazz musician and a article writer, and he performed piano for The Ismael Reed Quintet. He was created in Tennessee, but he was raised in NY. He wedded Carla Empty. He was influenced from the literary profession of Harlem Renaissance poet Langston Hughes.
