Irvin S. Cobb

A prolific journalist and brief story writer, he’s known for humorous functions such as Aged Judge Priest (1915) and Talking about Procedures (1916). His well-known short story, THE GIRL Accused, was modified right into a film starring Cary Give. He started his journalistic profession at age group seventeen using the Paducah Daily Information in his indigenous Kentucky. He later on wrote content articles on World Battle I for the Sunday Evening Post. His brief tales, Judge Priest (1934) and SUNLIGHT Shines Shiny (1953), were modified into movies by John Ford. He wedded Laura Spencer Baker in 1900. His child, Elisabeth Cobb, explained her romantic relationship with him in her 1945 memoir, My Wayward Mother or father. He dabbled in horror composing; two of his functions with this genre, created in 1911 and 1923, influenced a few of H.P. Lovecraft’s better-known functions.
