Improvisational free-jazz artist who gained great fame beyond her indigenous Switzerland on her behalf contributions as a lady jazz pioneer. She started playing piano when she was 12 and afterwards used the drums. She was associated with the Feminist Improvising Group, which ultimately transformed its name towards the much less politically charged Western european Women’s Improvising Group. Her dad ran a cafe that doubled being a performance place for dance rings. She was significantly inspired by Ornette Coleman’s free-jazz musicianship.
