Ira David Wood III


Father of celebrity Evan Rachel Timber and a venerable stage professional whose Dramatic Reading of the Breakup Letter present huge success in YouTube. He was raised in Enfield, NEW YORK, and went to The NEW YORK School from the Arts. He created and headlined a musical humor adaptation of the Xmas Carol, which he started performing each year in North Caroline in 1974. He wedded his second wife in 1996. He previously four kids. He made an appearance in the 1999 film My Teacher’s Wife, which starred Jason London.

2 In 2004, the City of Raleigh renamed The Pullen Park Theatre. It is now known as The Ira David Wood III Pullen Park Theatre. Mr. Wood founded Raleigh's internationally acclaimed Theatre In The Park in 1972.
3 Each year at Christmas, Theatre in the Park stages a unique production of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" with Wood playing the title role of "Scrooge"! Both of his children have had roles in the production, which has been running since 1974. The show has toured to both France and England and has been cited as ".. one of the most successful shows in North Carolina theater history".
