Ion Andreescu

Acclaimed nineteenth-century Romanian artist. His Impressionist and Barbizon school-style paintings are the Red Scarf, Family portrait of a woman, and Beech Forest. In his more youthful years, he analyzed with designer Theodor Aman. Later on, he became a skill instructor in Buzau, Romania. He colored numerous pictures of peasant ladies. He was created in Bucharest as the child of the Romanian vendor. He passed away of tuberculosis at age 32. In Paris, his paintings had been shown with those of renowned Impressionist painters Edouard Manet and Claude Monet.
